 News and Views:

  • The Frederickson Classics™ announces exhibition plans for the Seattle International Auto Show. The display of collector cars this year will feature Chryslers in a themed exhibit: “Reflections: Progress in Design”.

    The Seattle International Auto Show features 2006 factory models. It will be held Wed-Sun (Nov.2-6, 2005). Complete information is at www.seattleautoshow.com.

  • Volunteers will be invited to assist at The Frederickson Classics’ exhibit at the Seattle Intl. Auto Show. Suggested four hour shifts allow volunteers to also take time to cruise and enjoy the show before or after their allotted time. Show hours are: Wednesday 12N-5:00, Thursday 12N-10 pm, Friday 12n-10 pm, Saturday 10 am- 10 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm. Note that the show closes early on Wednesday this year for a special black tie fundraiser for Junior Achievement. Details on website.

  • The Alliance of Christian Car Clubs and Shows will hold their second annual dinner on October 29th. Focus of the Alliance is to help church-sponsored shows and clubs connect with car owners and enthusiasts to make their respective shows and activities more successful.

  • The newest Seattle show, and Seattle’s only downtown open car show – Queen Anne Car Show no sooner completed its successful day near South Lake Union than the producers decided on a name change, possible change of dates, and expand to the South Lake Union itself. It was held in lower Queen Anne area off Dexter Avenue two blocks from Westlake.

    More details to be announced in late November.

  • Rain and more rain, but eventually some sunshine on two of the area’s most enjoyable and successful car shows – Sept. 10th the Kirkland Concours and Edmond’s Hot Autumn Nights. Then, just in time for the afternoon stroll, the sun broke through making the day enjoyable for all except the car owners having to re-polish their cars.   • My Father’s Favorite Car - essay/photo contest to be introduced at upcoming Seattle Intl. Auto Show. One of the many happenings at the upcoming Seattle Intl. Auto Show will be the introduction of a new, monthly essay/photo contest themed “My Father’s Favorite Car”. Anyone can enter – though all entries must be submitted via e-mail except at the Seattle Intl. Auto Show – Nov. 2-6, 2005.
